On Saturday, February 14 and Sunday, February 15 the WCAA Gallery will host a weekend of art making. Come celebrate love and community by helping grow a “Forest” in our gallery!
During October (2025) the Arts Alliance and the Wayne County Conservation District collaborated with the administrations of all the public schools in Wayne county, and planted a native tree at each of the school campuses. The newly planted trees have inspired the first exhibition of the 2026 season at our gallery at 959 Main Street:
“TREE”,
an exhibition of art made by Wayne County school students
will open on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

The Veterans’ Memorial Park and Education Center Society in Matamoras has announced a special initiative to honor women veterans of Pike County and the surrounding areas. A new Women Veterans Memorial will be dedicated on June 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM, and the organization is preparing a commemorative booklet recognizing the women who have served our nation.

The School Board is proud to recognize three outstanding seniors whose dedication, leadership, and achievements have set a remarkable example for their peers. Victoria Latek, Kristian Nistad, and Nicholas Graham have excelled academically while contributing significantly to athletics, the arts, and community service.

On December 3, 2025, the Wallenpaupack Area School District Board recognized three exceptional students for their academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, and dedication to excellence: Nathan Freethy, Any'ah Caljean, and Logan Caruso. Each student addressed the board during the public meeting, sharing their experiences and future aspirations.
